Tiffany & Michael's big day:: Philadelphia, PA

I've been a bit behind on blogging, but I'm finally getting around to posting some shots from Tiffany & Michael's wedding a few weekends ago! Their ceremony and reception were both held at Evviva Restaurant in Philadelphia, and it was an amazing day for it!

We started off with a few getting ready shots at the Hilton....

Tiffany's bouquet was made entirely of pink and white peonies...heavenly! I love peonies!!!

Wanda and I had a little fun with Tiffany's shoes.... :)

I love the reactions of Tiffany's make-up artist and sister-in-law to be when they first saw her looking all beautiful in her gown!

Check out that skyline behind the makeup:

A few last touch-ups.....

Michael looked very svelte in his tux as he waited to see Tiffany.

And finally, after much waiting, the bride & groom got to see each other. Tiffany & Mike decided that they wanted to do some informal portraits before their ceremony so they could enjoy the cocktail hour with their friends & family. They wanted a nice nature-y feel to their photos, so we headed off to a little park I had spotted along the way. We grabbed a few nice shots, and then.....

....BUSTED!!!

This officer drove up out of nowhere with his lights spinning and was about to lay down the law on our no-parking zone. I'd love to say that I sweet-talked him out of it with my incredibly charming personality, but the truth is he saw Tiffany & Mike looking all amazing and happy and decked out, and he knew there was no use fighting love. :)

So, after he drove off we took a few nice, calm shots and then I told them about my crazy umbrella idea.... I think they got a little nervous when I asked them to just laugh & have fun with the umbrellas, but after a minute or two they got the hang of it, and I love the resulting images!

the men:

I had never been to Evviva before, and it's a really interesting place. It's basically a huge victorian mansion plopped in the middle of a neighborhood outside of Philly. The first floor has a few really pretty modern-victorianesque reception/cocktail areas, but climb the stairs to the second floor and you feel like you've been transported to a different century. There are tons of little rooms with beautiful old couches and dark wood.....I took them up to shoot a few more portraits, and then I found this excellent mural....

I am crazy crazy crazy about this shot right. I took it right before the ceremony, and there's something so beautiful and quiet about this moment:

On to the ceremony.... This adorable little guy is Gabriel. the flower girls had their eye on him all day!

YUM.

Michael & Tiffany surprised their guests with a fully choreographed first dance complete with all kinds of complicated dips and twirls -- as you can see, it was a huge hit!

Last shot....I love how they're making the same wrinkly nose face at each other! Too cute.

Tiffany & Mike....Thanks for an excellent day! I hope you guys had an amazing time in Turkey!!!
