Carla & Adam's Wedding | Harrisburg, PA
This weekend I hit Harrisburg for Carla &
Adam's wedding, and had such a great time. It was the first wedding I've shot
where I didn't meet the bride & groom until I walked into their hotel rooms
the morning of the wedding! Carla's uncle is actually the one who found me, and
put everything together -- when I met him and his wife Mary on Friday morning to
check out the ceremony and reception sites, I knew it was going to be an awesome
wedding.Carla and Adam turned out to be
a totally sweet couple with an incredible family. The whole day was so relaxed
and ran so smoothly, and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. In fact, it was so
beautiful, it's taken me 2 long days just to sift through the photos to put
together this blog! Anyway, here they
are.....The dress, the flowers, and the
bride:
Her
shoes were fabulous!
Next
time I have to get all fancied up and wear makeup, I'm calling Carla for advice
-- she did an incredible job!
Taking
the curlers out of the flower girls' hair was a process! Here are Carla and her
Aunt Mary trying to untangle them from little Lauren's hair.... Poor kiddo!
Luckily they were able to fix her 'do and she came out looking
adorable.
Meanwhile,
next door....
Adam
looked a little nervous in the morning, but by the time the ceremony was
starting he was all smiles.
Carla's
dress was gorgeous and really suited
her...
I
love the way the light is hitting her veil and gown
here...
The
ringbearer made it down the aisle like a
champ!
The
ceremony took place in a little park behind a family member's house, right in
front of a flowing creek.
During
the ceremony, Carla's flowergirls made good use of their leftover flower petals
by throwing them on Carla's train (great idea, ladies!). The petals went along
for the ride as Carla & Adam greeted their
guests...
How
cute is this little guy in his vest and
tie?!
This
shot just makes me happy.
The
pint-sized guests ran the show at their cocktail hour (not to worry, that's
water they're all
chugging)!
The
cake-cutting got a little wild (this was one of the calmer
frames).....
The
couple who caught the bouquet and garter were too
cute!
Congratulations
Carla & Adam! It was so much fun being part of your amazing day... And
thanks again to their Uncle Ron who totally embarrassed me with his sweet little
speech as I was leaving that night -- you guys are a wonderful family! I'll keep
an eye out for you at the Penn State tailgates this fall!
