The "Evil Raven" paintingThis week I'm blogging from lovely coastal North
Carolina! I'm out here to shoot some photos and to hang out with my niece and
nephew while my sister and brother-in-law are skiing in the Alps.... Lucky
them! :) So anyway, I thought it would be fun to do daily blog updates, since
we're going to be up to all kinds of silly activities and adventures! Here are
a few shots from our first
day.....
This is Alexandria, my niece. She's 5! She was the lone star of the show yesterday since we didn't have time to catch any photos of her brother due to birthday party and gymnastics busy-ness....However, we did have time to plan out a TOTALLY great shoot idea for him this weekend, so make sure you check back for that one! Anyway, yesterday Alex decided to do a little painting: ![]() ![]() She drew a very nice pink line down the middle of the paper so we each had a side to paint on. Alex painted a beautiful picture of herself with very long yellow legs, and some clouds and multi-colored rain around her. I painted a picture of their dog, Raven, but it didn't go over well. Alex dubbed it the "Evil Raven" painting. After further examination, I think I agree. :) ![]() Alex and our art: ![]() One of the best parts of the day is all the crazy things these two say. I think I need a notebook to collect them all. Here are a few of my favorites from today: Alex: "Auntie Tania, how old are you? 38 or something?" Me: "38???!! Do I look 38?" Alex: "No..... I guess you must be 6." Upon seeing their friend Montgomery at the bus stop, who just turned 6 yesterday: "Hey! There's Gomery. He's six. Huh....I guess he doesn't look older yet."
