Hayden and his pals

Last weekend we trekked back up to Massachusetts for my nephew's baptism, my niece's birthday, and a great big party to celebrate them both!  It was great to see my family, and we had the most gorgeous day for the party....  The kiddos spent most of the day outside, and I spent a good part of the day outside running around with my camera.

Here's Hayden in the morning, having some snuggle time with his uncle and soon-to-be Godfather, my husband Jed.  Check out that little smirk!

On to the party!  Hayden's pals all came out for the big day and had a blast running around.  And then, they found the piano...  Tristen (on the right) just started taking lessons, so he was kind enough to give Sammy a few pointers.

Here's Jake, Sammy's twin brother, who absolutely could not wait to have his picture taken, and wanted me to take more, more, more!

Meet the very contemplative Satchel.  I think he was wondering when the cake was going to come out....

Another shot of Satchel....what a cutie!

The swingset was THE place to be....  Here's Lillian, in her beautiful party dress.

And Tristen, waiting for a turn on the tire swing....

Of course, with 6 little ladies running around, dress up time is inevitable.  Dylan, Satchel's big sister, got ahold of the coveted princess hat....

This little sweetie is Carolyn, Lillian's little sister.  She's totally an independent spirit, and did her own thing all day.  I love that!

Lillian, Isabel, and Dylan kickin' it on the tire swing...

Here's Jake again, masterminding a plan to keep the "icky girls" out of the playhouse.

The little cutie in pink is my cousin's daugher, Samantha!  We don't get to see them often, and I'm always so surprised by how big she's gotten since I last saw her... Plus, she's hilarious.  Sam's in a phase right now where she calls everyone by their first names, including grammy and grampy, and mom & dad!  I just about fell on the floor when her grandpa got a little too enthusiastic with the swing pushing, and I heard her yell to him, "That's too high, Kevin!"  Four-year olds are funny.

Dylan went for a little pony ride after the cake... A little more practice and she'll be ready to come out to PA for a real pony ride!

Meanwhile, out in the driveway Julia was busy digging a hole to China with this big stick.

And on Sunday morning, when everything was quiet again (as quiet as possible with 3 kids in the house!), Hayden had a bath and some good quality mommy-time.  I love the way he's looking at her here....

That's all for now!  Thanks to Karlina, Joni, Andrea, Kim, Vicky, Stacey and everyone else at the party for allowing me to grab a few shots of your sweet kiddos.  Hope to see you all again soon!
