Announcing miniDigi's arrival on the scene.

Last week we finally decided it was time to take the plunge....we bought a little point & shoot digital camera! Would you believe we didn't have one until now??! Crazy, right? I have so many photos of everyone else, and none of Jed and I, so we thought it was about time. Here's the scoop: It's a Canon (of course!) SD800 and it is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. It's so tiny, I feel like I'm holding a tic tac in my hand compared to the big ol' 5D I'm usually carrying around, which is how it earned the rights to the name miniDigi. I'll confess... it's totally my baby -- I've been taking it everywhere since we got it, and thought it was time to post a few shots from miniDigi's first outing.

We brought it along with us to Smita & Tony's wedding to test it out. Jed had it for most of the day while I was shooting, and he grabbed some funny shots of me workin' it with the B&G:

This is not an unusual sight....I'll squeeze into all kinds of crazy little spots to get a cool shot! This time it was a tree.....next time, who knows....

Note to all the photographer-type people out there: Despite all appearances to the contrary, I was actually NOT using direct flash in the shot above! (YUCK-O!) I just had to flip the flash around so that I could get under that pine branch. Whew! (I can hear you all breathing a collective sigh of relief right now.)

Jed also took some lovely self-portraits. very manly. :)

Smita & Tony's wedding was extra fantastic because I got to catch up with lots of old friends....from elementary school on up! Here's Julie and Laurie -- we grew up in the same neighborhood and practically lived at each other's houses:

And one of my most favorite people in the whole world, Miss Gianna! (It is a crime how rarely we get to see each other, sister! I'm coming out to Cali to visit you!!!)

This little camera's picture quality is incredible....And check it out! Finally, a few of me & my hubby. We're pretty cute, no? :) Except for that creepy go-go-gadget arm that keeps popping into the shots.

and last but not least, a quick shot with the newlyweds!

Go miniDigi! You rock.
